Greater Shepparton has established an enviable reputation for being a leading venue for many diverse successful conferences and events.  Greater Shepparton has a large number of venues ranging in size and location, which will cater for your every requirement, from small private venues that can be completely taken over by your organisation, through to interesting and different venues that offer the unique experience of meeting in a traditional woolshed or at one of the many picturesque locations throughout the region.

Festivals and Community Events 

Life in Greater Shepparton is always worth celebrating and during the year festivals highlight all that is great in the region.  It's no surprise that food and wine feature high on the festival agenda, including International Dairy Week, Mooroopna Fruit Salad Day and the Taste of Tatura to name a few.  Greater Shepparton's premier festival which is held annually in March is the SheppARTon Festival has been successfully staged every year since 1997 and is regarded as a major calendar event within regional Victoria. It demonstrates that the region can successfully and enthusiastically support an event of this nature, as well as project itself into the broader context of other regional festivals. The diverse program achieves a balance between the innovative and the mainstream in a way that was calculated to appeal to a wide audience. There is an emphasis on mixing community created arts with professionally produced and performed work. In particular, the SheppARTon Festival has been successful in bringing professional artists to work with community groups in the development of new work, and this has ensured some durability of the SheppARTon Festival outcomes.

Major Events

Greater Shepparton has fantastic infrastructure and facilities and plays host too many regional, state, national and international major events each year. Major events held in the region have included the Australian Open Bowls, Junior Davis and Federation Cup Tennis, International Dairy Week, Australasian Schools Cycling Cup, AFL NAB Challenge football, A League soccer, W league soccer, Australian Cricket Association Masters and Crusty Demons Regional Australia Tour.  Some of the major events in Shepparton attract up to 30,000 visitors, and with proper planning these events are easily catered for.

Accommodation is well catered for with a choice of quality motels, hotels, cabins, caravan parks, leisure centre’s, hostels, on-campus facilities and bed & breakfast establishments. Greater Shepparton has the capacity to accommodate in excess of 2000 people at any one time.
